Special Schools Football – Wednesday 26th March 2008

Wednesday 26th March saw the Partnership’s annual disability football tournament comprising of 15 teams from Special Schools across South Devon.

The teams were divided up into categories and played on 3 pitches on South Dartmoor College’s all weather astro turf pitch. The weather stayed kind as the tournament progressed, with all children and teams having a fantastic time and enthusiastically playing the football matches.

At the end of the tournament medals and certificates were presented by Mr Dinnie, Director of Sport at South Dartmoor, assisted by the Young Leaders who refereed and helped out throughout the morning.

I would like to say big thank you to all those Young Leaders who did such a wonderful job of providing these special children with a memorable and enjoyable morning, and also my thanks go to South Dartmoor for letting us use their fantastic facilities.
