Boxercise & Lifesaving at Finlake! Students
from the Partnership enjoyed a pre Christmas Boxercise and Lifesaving session at Finlake Leisure club. They were put through
their boxing paces by Finlake Instructor Michelle Roberts, teaching them the jab and the uppercut and in the Pool they learnt
how to rescue someone without putting themselves in danger. A good day was had by all. Thanks go to Finlake for the use of
their facilities.

Fun Sailing - June 08
Monday 30th June saw a fantastic start to National School Sports week within the Partnership
with a Fun Sailing Session for Year 7 pupils from South Dartmoor, Kevicc and Teign. The event was held at Paignton Sailing
Club and run by Vicky Gater and Pete Muskett (RYA Development Officer).

The pupils rigged Pico sailing dinghies and began by practising their steering whilst being towed
out through the harbour mouth to the beach. Accompanied by much laughing and screams of enjoyment, came
paddling races before the pupils set sail along the beach, rounding the safety boat and returning to the sand! The only disappointment was when it was time to return to the harbour.
It was an amazing afternoon, full of fun and laughter, whilst getting wet and visiting the beach.
Well done to all for an enjoyable time.
